UDK新增功能:單一點光源就能產生整個場景的陰影

八月版的UE3及將會有單一點光源產生整個場景的陰影的功能。詳情如下：

• 以上燈光是一盞PointLightMovable，能夠產生正確的陰影。
• 任何點光源，帶有預先計算的陰影（可開關的或是一般點光源），而這樣的照明並不需要計算light map

整個場景會用6 90的投影算圖，因此對場景渲染來說是非常耗資源的，因此這種燈可被用來當做編輯器裡面預覽用，因為這種光源可以用來顯示燈光在被rebuild後陰影的位置。

No double (無疑合唱團)是筆者的最愛. 這首Underneath It All也不例外, 雷鬼加上撒嬌的歌詞 難怪在2004年還獲得葛萊美獎!

從女生的角度寫的故事 這裡面已經不是性暗示了, 歌詞寫的很白了. 用的單字的話, "Underneath It All"會比較難翻譯, 可以翻作骨子裡 但是又不太搭 所以就翻作"其實". 從女生的口吻說出gorgeous sleep 是比較婉轉的用語. Bad在以下同時有兩種意義 大概只有聽原文歌詞才聽出原汁原味：

UDK新增功能: Character indirect lighting角色間接光照參數

新的角色間接光照（indirect lighting）設定

八月版的UDK即將新增以上功能：在WorldInfo裡面多了一個能控制角色間接光照設定的參數。

這個參數會取代舊的LightEnvironmentIndirectContrastFactor，因為新的功能還比較多。這個東西可以即時套用，因此你可以在不重新rebuild光照就可以看到效果！這只影響環境光線，透過bIsCharacterLightEnvironment=true，原本是要用unreal script設定。現在SkeletalMeshCinematicActors屬性預設就是啟用的，因此你可以放在場景中做預覽用。

以上是SkeletalMeshCinematicActor放置在場景的情形，當Lightmass設定成超大的IndirectLightingScale屬性（directional light），這會造成一個問題，就是角色的背面會接受到大量的間接光照，因此角色本身會有對比過低的問題。

以上是同一個場景但是CharacterLitIndirectBrightness設定為.01，而CharacterLitIndirectContrastFactor設定為2。 (譯者認為, 應該要介於兩者之間亮度才比較好看)

八月版的Unreal Engine 3即將添加---詳細光照（Detail Lighting）的編輯器顯示模式

有了新的編輯器顯示模式，稱為細節光照（Detail Lighting）。這個會將diffuse color與specular color改用常數來取代，但是維持材質球裏面如normal map、 opacity mask等參數。這個模式對於要查看光照，而不要受到diffuse顏色所影響很有用！舊的lighting only模式還會保留，因為對觀察光照的缺陷還是有用的。

如上圖, 新的顯示模式的按鈕就在Lit顯示模式的旁邊。

這首歌很有趣, 講一位男生偷吃被女友抓包 跑去找朋友 (情聖). 情聖跟他說 "就說那不是我 不就得了" 很有故事性的歌詞, MV也拍的不錯. 黑人腔講話實在是聽不太懂 但是表情豐富啊! 翻了一下歌詞才發現已經有很多人撰文介紹啦, 參考了一下別人的翻法 以下是我的版本. 英文最麻煩的地方就是很多簡單的用法不會在空中英語教室看到, 不是那些拿的上檯面的慣用語卻是每天在講的詞 : D
